“Hi Michael, here’s the orders you asked for!” The grammatically correct way of making such a statement would be – “Hi Michael, here ARE the orders you asked for!” – but it’s become commonplace to use the third-person singular instead, especially after words such as ‘here’ and ‘there’.

Another example – “We’re ready to set out for a hiking trip, here’s all the things we need – a tent, a sleeping bag and canned food.” If you follow English grammar rules to the letter, you should say “… here ARE all the things we need…” In spoken English, however, it’s perfectly fine to say “… here’s all the things we need…” and it’s up to you to choose how you’re going to say it.
